Do you have some favourite music and songs that you would like to share with your friends and family during video calls? WhatsApp is working on a feature that will let you do that.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp recently released beta version 2.23.26.18 on the Google Play Store. In this latest update, a new functionality has been introduced, allowing users to share music audio while engaged in a video call and using the screen-sharing feature. Although initially observed in an earlier iOS beta, the current beta suggests that this feature might extend to Android as well.

This feature is not limited to music alone; any audio played by the screen-sharing individual will be audible to other participants in the video call.

With this feature, you can watch videos or listen to music together with your friends and family.

It’s worth noting that this feature is dependent on video functionality. Therefore, it will not operate in situations where video is not enabled, such as voice calls or video calls with disabled video.

This music audio sharing feature is currently under development and it will be available in a future update of the app.
