The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has transformed the manual process of employee salary deduction for loan repayment into an online procedure through Portal Majikan Online.

PTPTN emphasised that this digital platform can also be used for contributions to the National Education Savings Scheme (Simpan SSPN), according to Bernama.

According to PTPTN, the online service offers a user-friendly platform for employers, streamlining data verification and review processes, and facilitating the entire salary deduction process through digital means.

In a statement, PTPTN’s Chief Executive, Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid, highlighted that the Portal Majikan Online aligns with a digitalisation agenda aimed at delivering more efficient and effective services.

He stated, “With the portal, employers can make their employees’ salary deduction transactions at any time easily, efficiently and safely.”

Expressing hope for employer assistance, especially for PTPTN borrowers among their employees, Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid urged employers to leverage the opportunity for repayments through salary deductions, thus making employees eligible for government-provided discount incentives.

He pointed out that the government, as part of Budget 2024, has approved a 15% discount for PTPTN repayments made through salary deductions from 14 October 2023 to 31 March 2024.
