WhatsApp just revealed its new feature allowing users to simultaneously use two accounts. This enables users to effortlessly switch between both accounts within the same WhatsApp instance.

Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement on his Facebook page yesterday, saying that the feature will soon be available to Android users.

In the past, individuals needed to carry two phones in order to operate two WhatsApp accounts.

Furthermore, certain phone brands have already introduced features like app cloning, which allow users to leverage multiple instances of WhatsApp.

However, with this new feature, the company has now made it feasible to manage both accounts with just one phone.

WhatsApp said this feature is “Helpful for switching between accounts – such as your work and personal – now you no longer need to log out each time, carry two phones or worry about messaging from the wrong place.”

To set up a second account, you will need a second phone number and SIM card, or a phone that accepts multi-SIM or eSIM.

Simply open your WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to your name, and click “Add account”. You can control your privacy and notification settings on each account.
