After Oppo debuted its Find N3 series, OnePlus launched its foldable, which is 99% similar to the Find N3.

The OnePlus Open features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of storage.

The OnePlus Open’s outer screen boasts a 6.31-inch 2484x1116px Super Fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display with a dynamic refresh rate of 10-120Hz and an aspect ratio close to the conventional 20:9. This panel delivers a typical brightness of 1,400 nits and peaks at 2,800 nits.

Inside the OnePlus Open, you’ll find a 7.82″ 2440x2268px Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display with a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, an aspect ratio of 1.0758:1, and the same remarkable peak brightness.

The OnePlus Open is equipped with a triple-camera setup on the rear, enhanced with Hasselblad tuning. The primary rear camera features Sony’s new 48MP LYTIA-T808 “pixel stacked” sensor, housed in a 1/1.43″ sensor with a 24mm f/1.7 optically-stabilised lens.

The LYTIA T808 sensor incorporates dual-layer transistor technology, offering improved light sensitivity.

The ultrawide camera is equipped with a 48MP 1/2″ sensor and a 14mm f/2.2 lens with autofocus. Additionally, there’s a telephoto camera featuring a 64MP 1/2″ sensor and a 3x 70mm f/2.6 stabilized lens.

The OnePlus Open features two selfie cameras, with a 20MP unit on the inside and a 32MP one on the external display.

Powering the foldable device is a 4,805mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. OnePlus claims that it takes only 42 minutes to charge from 1% to 100%, and the device offers more than a day of use.

On the software side, the company has developed OnePlus Canvas, a multitasking interface designed from the ground up.

Approximately 95% of mainstream apps are optimised for the expanded display, and you have the flexibility to resize the active window in a multi-window setup to your preference. You can use up to three windows simultaneously in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

Notably, the OnePlus Open also includes the iconic alert slider and it’s available in two striking colour options: Voyager Black, featuring a faux leather finish on the back, and Emerald Dusk (green), which boasts a glass finish.

Just like Oppo Find N3 series, this foldable will be getting four major OS updates and five years of security updates and IPX4 rated.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus Open is priced at USD1,700 (~RM 8,120), and we have asked OnePlus PR, and they said there’s no news about this coming to Malaysia at the time of writing.

This foldable is most likely not going to be available here, seeing as Oppo is already selling the Find N3, which is exactly the same thing.
