Samsung just introduced its latest flagship chipset, the Exynos 2400, last week at the System LSI Tech Day 2023 and the company claims that it offers a huge improvement over the Exynos 2200.

Samsung asserts that the Exynos 2400 delivers a 1.7x increase in CPU performance and a 14.7x improvement in AI performance when compared to the Exynos 2200.

The Exynos 2400 comes equipped with an Xclipse 940 GPU, based on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture, enabling mobile ray tracing that enhances gaming experiences with improved shadow rendering, reflections, and global illumination, making them more lifelike.

Manufactured using Samsung’s latest 4nm LPP+ process, the chip is expected to feature a 10-core CPU configuration consisting of a prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.1GHz, 2x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9 GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and 4x Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8 GHz, catering to varying task demands.

The Exynos 2400 is anticipated to support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Additionally, it’s rumoured to have the capability to work with camera sensors up to 320MP and offer 8K video recording at 60fps through its newly developed custom ISP.

Eyxnos 2400 for Galaxy S24 and S24+, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for S24 Ultra

According to a Korean news outlet, The Elec, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset for the global market.

In contrast, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will be available in Exynos 2400 versions in most regions, spanning Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America.

Only the United States and China will receive versions of these phones powered by Snapdragon.

This strategy is likely to create some division among Samsung fans, although perhaps not to the extent typically observed, as in the past, all three Galaxy S models were either Exynos or Snapdragon, depending on the region.

If you are curious about the upcoming Samsung flagships, the entire lineup of the Galaxy S24 series was leaked recently, and you can go HERE to find out how they look.
