Logitech G, a gaming accessories brand of Logitech, just released two new microphones for a better gaming and streaming experience, the Logitech G Yeti GX, and Logitech G Yeti Orb.
Logitech G Yeti GX
The microphone provides a dynamic, supercardioid pickup pattern with 24bit/96KHz audio quality, a frequency response ranging from 50Hz to 18KHz, a dynamic range of 95dB, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 78dB.
Logitech incorporates a feature called Smart Audio Lock in the Yeti GX, which automatically adjusts gain to prevent clipping and reduces ambient background noise with a single click of the scroll wheel.
Additionally, it relies on USB-C for both power and connection to compatible devices like desktop computers or laptops.
Adding to its aesthetic appeal is an RGB lighting system located at the bottom, on the “G” logo on the side, as well as on its scroll wheel.
Logitech G Yeti Orb
Similarly, the Yeti Orb follows suit with a minimalist design, USB-C connectivity, and there’s desktop stand included in the box. However, its onboard RGB lighting system is limited to Logitech’s “G” logo.
The Yeti Orb is a condenser microphone featuring a polar cardioid pickup pattern with 24bit/48KHz audio quality, a frequency response spanning from 70Hz to 20KHz, a dynamic range of 95dB, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 72dB.
While it lacks the GX’s Smart Audio Lock feature, Logitech assures users that the smaller Yeti model is still capable of optimising voice quality for crystal clear delivery and cancelling out external noises during streams or recordings.
Both of Logitech G’s new Yeti microphones are compatible with the brand’s G HUB app, which allows users to customise their lighting and sound effects, among other features.
Additionally, the company has announced plans to introduce full support for all LIGHTSYNC-enabled devices with Windows Dynamic Lighting in the future, aiming to create a completely unified and immersive gaming experience.
Pricing and Availability
The Logitech Yeti GX retails for RM659, while the Yeti Orb is priced at RM269. They are now available in black colourways on Logitech G’s official Lazada and Shopee page.
