Back in April 2021, OnePlus released its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch, and after that, the company stopped releasing any wearables. However, OnePlus might enter the smartwatch market once more.

According to a leaker, @realMlgmXyysd, OPlus, the parent investor group company of OnePlus, OPPO, and Realme, is planning to produce a new smartwatch. This smartwatch has the potential to be released as both a OnePlus Watch and an OPPO Watch.

The leaker revealed that OPlus is actively developing a smartwatch codenamed “star.” It is expected to have multiple variants: OWW231 for the Chinese market, OWWE231 for the global market, and OPWWE231 as a OnePlus-branded product in the global market.

This OnePlus smartwatch features a round display with a resolution of 466 x 466. It operates on the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 platform and is complemented by the BES 2700 co-processor for handling low-power functions. Available colour options are Black and White.

The operating system mentioned for the smartwatch is ColorOS for Watch 6.0, which is based on Android 11 Go. However, for global markets, it is highly likely that the smartwatch will utilise Google’s WearOS platform, particularly if it indeed using the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset.

In terms of hardware, the smartwatch is equipped with two operational buttons, a crown, and a barometer. These features enable a range of functionalities, including ECG monitoring, an Always On Display, fist clench gestures, eSIM support, blood oxygen measurement, stress tracking, sleep tracking, and workout monitoring.

Additionally, the leaker also hinted at the existence of a round-shaped OPPO Watch 4 Pro running Wear OS, which is intended for the international market.
