AirAsia Superapp Rebrands To AirAsia Move, Teases BigPay Integration Coming Very Soon

Today, airasia Digital, the digital subsidiary of Capital A, officially declares its transformation into MOVE Digital (MOVE). As part of this ongoing transformation, the travel platform business known As airasia Superapp will also soon receive a brand refresh and be rebranded as “Airasia Move.”

CEO of Capital A, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, and AirAsia will actively take on the roles of Executive Chairman at MOVE. Meanwhile, Nadia Omer will step into the position of the new Chief Executive Officer starting 26 October 2023, according to AirAsia’s announcement.

According to Tony, through MOVE, there will be a rejuvenation in the operations of Airasia Superapp and BigPay.

It is expected that Airasia Superapp will be renamed as Airasia MOVE in the near future, anticipated to take place this year and the integration of BigPay features within the Airasia Superapp (now airasia move) will be happening very soon.

Both of Capital A’s digital businesses have demonstrated significant progress, with Airasia Superapp achieving a record-high of 15 million monthly active users by the end of the second quarter, while BigPay has witnessed a 16% annual growth in cardholders during the same period.

MOVE Digital Sdn Bhd is the digital arm of Capital A Berhad, encompassing the two main businesses, Airasia Superapp (soon to be airasia MOVE) and BigPay.

Tony emphasises that this transition aims to revolutionise the tourism and financial services sectors of Capital A by offering more innovative solutions to users at the best possible value, progressively.
