There are many scams circulating online nowadays. Scammers are more active on social media platforms because there are a lot of users, from kids to elderlies, and it is easy targeting everyone all at once.
Recently, there’s a scam involving the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) or also known as KWSP. The government body would like to emphasize that they would never offer any loans to anyone.

In the Facebook post, EPF also stated that the members of the public should only get genuine information regarding EPF from its official social media accounts and website. EPF is not a bank nor a financial institution that can provide any loans to anyone. Their main job is to manage your savings and retirement plans.
If you come across any suspicious activity related to EPF products and services, you can report to the EPF’s Contact Management Centre at 03 8922 6000.
