Last week, we reported that a new Chinese smartphone brand would be coming to Malaysia very soon. iQOO is a subsidiary of Vivo, and they have been actively teasing their arrival on their Facebook page for almost a month, and now they are finally ready to release their first-ever smartphone here.
On 20 November 2022, iQOO posted on Facebook, asking people to register their interest, to get a hands-on experience with the phone and secure their chance to buy one of the limited 600 units that they will be bringing over. The company will be organising an experiential event at RUANG, Shah Alam, Seksyen 16, on 2 December 2022.

The registration of interest form can be found here. Earlier, when we clicked on the link, we can still register to attend the event, but a few hours later, the event invitation was removed. Perhaps the event has reached its limit of how many people can attend.
The company has not released any official specs, but from what we gathered, the iQOO 11 5G is packing the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (we’ve covered about it here), which has a QHD 6.78-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging. Also, a Weibo (Chinese social media) user leaked an image of the phone.

Based on the image, you can see the phone has a triple-camera setup and BMW’s tri-colour stripes on the back. The launch is just around the corner, we will see whether this leaked image is the real iQOO 11 5G or not soon.
