Samsung Delaying Boost QR Removal To November 24

Samsung Malaysia announced earlier this month that they are removing Boost QR payment feature in the Samsung Pay on Nov 15.

But now they are moving the cutoff date a week later to Nov 24.

Samsung posted an update to their removal notice, but did not provide any details as to why the date has been pushed back.

As of right now, Samsung will be removing the Boost QR pay through the mandatory update that will come on Nov 24.

Boost was first integrated in Samsung Pay back in 2020. It was the only eWallet option on the contactless payment system for the Malaysian market.
