NVIDIA GeForce Now is a cloud gaming service that went into beta testing in October 2015 and was officially released to the public in February 2020. This service was not officially available here, but you can still play it if you don’t mind paying for it in SGD and playing on a server located in Singapore. But now, Malaysian gamers don’t have to do that anymore.
YTL Communications or also known as Yes, has finally revealed that they are the GeForce Now Alliance Partner and they will be bringing the cloud gaming service to our shores.
Unlike Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass where you can play all the games you want for a monthly fee, GeForce Now requires you to own the games that you want to play via the service. For example, if you want to play Cyberpunk 2077 via GeForce Now, you have to buy the game first.
You can pay for Daily, Monthly, or Annual access to the service. The example below is for Singapore.
GeForce Now is a service for people who doesn’t own a gaming PC or for those who wants to play while they are on the move.
So far, there’s no release date for the service here, but you can register your interest via this page and they will send you a newsletter this Friday. Yes subscribers will be getting “exclusive cloud gaming features”, but no additional details were provided. We will be keeping our eyes open on this one.
