Garmin Malaysia today announced a new addition to its Instinct family of purpose-built robust smartwatches
The Instinct 2 Series consist of six models with price ranging from RM 1,630.00 to RM 2,330.00.
Each new model provides up to four weeks of continuous use while in smartwatch mode.
Selected Instinct 2 Solar models also offer unlimited battery life when switched to the smartwatch mode.
In addition to having a slimmer profile, these new smartwatches from Garmin come in two sizes: a traditional 45mm bezel and a new Instinct 2S with a smaller 40mm bezel.
The Different Editions
The Instinct 2 Series comes in three purpose-built editions with dedicated features:
- Surf Editions –
- For watersports activities such as surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding.
- Tides widget.
- Compatible with Surfline Sessions.
- Available in Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S with or without solar.
- Tactical Editions –
- Military themed.
- Dedicated tactical features.
- Kill Switch.
- Stealth Mode.
- Night Vision Goggle Compatibility.
- Dual Format Position Coordinates.
- Jumpmaster Activity mode.
- Available in Coyote Tan or Black.
- Camo Editions –
- Graphite and Mist Camo patterns.
Up to Military Standards
This time, the new Instinct 2 series is built to military standard 810 for thermal and shock resistance and is water rated to 100 meters.
It also has a new high-resolution, easy-to-read display protected by chemically strengthened, scratch-resistant glass.
Garmin Connect IQ
The Instinct 2 Series is now compatible with the Garmin Connect IQ (CIQ) store, filled with apps, widgets, watch faces, data fields, and more.
Health and wellness features like Hydration Tracking, and Connect Leaderboard, and Menstrual Cycle and Pregnancy Tracking are also available to Instinct 2 Series owners through CIQ.
