Oppo Malaysia today announced that it’s about to launch the all-new, affordable A79 5G that promises to be reliable and will offer users a smooth experience.
The A79 5G boasts an attractive rear glass design, which the brand names “Glowing Feather.” The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, featuring a single memory configuration comprising 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
The device features a 6.72-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 680 nits, and Panda glass protection.
The phone has a dual camera setup on the back, including a 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Additionally, a front-facing 8MP selfie camera is located within the punch-hole cutout on the display.
Keeping the phone running is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The device also offers a microSD card slot for extra storage space, runs Android 13 via ColorOS 13.1, and provides dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity.
Furthermore, the phone boasts an IPX4 rating for splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a USB-C 2.0 port.
The Oppo A79 5G is available in two colour options: Mystery Black and Glowing Green. At the time of writing, the company hasn’t announced the local pricing and availability.
