In the upcoming update, users will have the ability to select from a wider range of disappearing message durations. Specifically, users will be able to choose from 15 different options, including 1 year, 180 days, 60 days, 30 days, 21 days, 14 days, 6 days, 5 days, 4 days, 3 days, 2 days, 12 hours, 6 hours, 3 hours, and 1 hour.

WABetaInfo said that the screenshot may have been taken from WhatsApp Desktop beta; however, it has been verified that WhatsApp is indeed working to introduce these new disappearing message durations in a forthcoming update of WhatsApp beta for both iOS and Android. This means that users across all platforms will have access to these extended options for configuring disappearing messages.
