Being able to do your taxes online certainly helped saved a lot of time. But online systems require maintenance to ensure that they continue to operate effectively and securely over time. Performance optimization, security updates, and bug fixing are among the key reasons why maintenance is necessary.
As online systems are used, their performance can degrade, security vulnerabilities can arise, and bugs can appear. Regular maintenance is therefore essential to ensure that online systems remain reliable, secure, and user-friendly.
Bernama reports that in an endeavour to improve the quality of online tax services, the Inland Revenue Board (IRB/ LHDN) tax system will face service interruptions as a result of the system’s electrical components being upgraded.
IRB said in a statement today that access to the HASiL system, including all kinds of e-services via MyTax and mobile applications, will be disrupted from 10pm tonight, 17 February to 6am on Sunday, 19 February.
Additionally, there will be disruptions at IRB counters at Urban Transformation Centres (UTC) on Saturday, 18 February.
Taxpayers will still be able to access the HASiL official portal though. Any enquiries can be directed to IRB via Hasil Care Line at 03-8911 1000 / +603-8911 1100 (overseas), HASiL Live Chat and by filling up the feedback form available on their official website.
