Honda Launches The 2022 HR-V & There’s Already 20,000 Bookings

Honda Malaysia today launched the 2022 HR-V (Hip & Smart Runabout Vehicle), a brand-new entry in the Compact SUV.

“Since it was opened for booking, the All-New HR-V has gathered positive reviews from the media and overwhelming response from the public. I am pleased to inform you that the All-New HR-V has received more than 20,000 bookings. 

With the high demand for this new model, we would like to update that the waiting period for the All-New HR-V is 12 months, depending on the availability of selected variants.”

Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said. 

Appearance 

The front of the Honda HR-V is dominated by a new sporty front grille while the rear features an elevated bold design with LED Taillight Strip. 

To complete the 2022 HR-V look, there’s the Front LED Sequential Turn Signals, Full LED Headlights with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), Front LED Fog Lights, and 18-inch Sporty Alloy Wheels.

Powertrains

The All-New HR-V introduces 3 powertrains for customers to choose from:

  • 1.5L e:HEV system with 2-motors (RS). 
  • 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged Engine (RS, V & E variants).
  • 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC (S Variant).

Interior

The RS variant now features leather upholstery, Sports Pedals, Dual Zone Auto Air Conditioning and Deceleration Selector Paddle. 

The RS, V and E variants feature a 7-inch Interactive TFT Meter Cluster and 8-inch Display Audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Connectivity.

Honda has also introduced the Air Diffusion System in the All-New HR-V for better cooling circulation for all passengers. An additional standard feature in this new model is rear air conditioning ventilation.

Other new features include the Remote Engine Start and Walk Away Auto Lock. Drivers of the All-New HR-V will also find the Hill Descent Control (HDC) feature — automatically maintains at a set low speed, allowing the driver to concentrate on the steering when descending a steep hill.

All-New HR-V RS variant also features the Hands-Free Power Tailgate with Walkaway Close function — where the tailgate will close automatically when the driver moves away from the vehicle after the ‘Walkaway Close Switch’ is switched ON.

Safety

The 2022 HR-V comes equipped with a full set of advanced safety technologies including Honda LaneWatch and Honda SENSING. As an added value in protection for Honda customers, Honda SENSING is made standard across all variants of the All-New HR-V. 

The Honda SENSING suite of advanced driver assistance safety systems includes:

  1. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) 
  2. Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) 
  3. Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) 
  4. Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) 
  5. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) 
  6. Auto High Beam (AHB) 
  7. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) 
  8. Low-Speed Follow (LSF) 
  9. Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN) 

Additionally, Honda CONNECT with smart Telematics Technology ensures Safety, Security, and Convenience. 

All-New HR-V will be offered in five colours, Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic and Ruse Black Metallic.
