Yesterday, OPPO hosted its fourth annual tech event, Inno Day 2022, and introduced several new cutting-edge technologies developed under OPPO’s Four Smart Initiatives of smart entertainment, smart productivity, smart health, and smart learning.

First of all, the company introduced their second custom chip, MariSilicon Y, which is a Bluetooth System-on-a-Chip (SoC). Their first custom chip, MariSilicon X, is an imaging processor.

The SoC is among the first to employ the cutting-edge N6RF manufacturing technology, which enables a 50% improvement in Bluetooth bandwidth over existing Bluetooth SoCs. Also, the MariSilicon Y can transmit data at a rate of 12Mbps.

OPPO said the SoC is capable of transmitting 24-bit/192kHz lossless audio over Bluetooth, which is a first in the industry. Besides that, OPPO is also introducing a new audio codec dubbed the “Ultra Resolution Lossless Codec” (URLC). The company claimed that URLC is capable of high compression while maintaining sound quality.

Next up, OPPO unveils their first product under its OHealth brand, the OHealth H1 family health monitor. This device was designed for monitoring the health status of a family member. It can measure blood oxygen, ECG (electrocardiogram), heart and lung auscultation (listening to the internal sounds of the body), heart rate, body temperature and sleep tracking.

The OHealth H1 weighs just 95g and features aesthetic rounded edges and a concentric oval design.

Additionally customizable frames will be available, and the lenses will support vision correction.

The OPPO Air Glass 2 will be able to do a variety of things, like make calls, carry out real-time translation, provide location-based navigation, turn voice into text for those who have hearing loss and many more.

Here’s another OPPO-related story. The image of the company’s next flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find X6, has been leaked, and you can find out more about it here.
