When NVIDIA introduced the GeForce RTX 40 series graphic cards (GPU) back in September 2022, they announced three models; the RTX 4090, RTX 4080 16GB, and RTX 4080 12GB.

However, a month later, the company decided to “unlaunch” the RTX 4080 12GB, saying it was a mistake naming it the “RTX 4080” and also due to massive backlash from consumers saying it was too expensive.

Today, during CES 2023, NVIDIA is finally ready to relaunch the RTX 4080 12GB, and they gave it a new designation; the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.

The specs are identical to the 4080 12GB, but instead of charging consumers USD 899 (RM 3,960) for it, the 4070 Ti now cost USD 799 (RM 3,519).

This “new” GPU has an AD104-400 GPU, 12GB of GDDR6X video memory clocked at 21 Gbps, 7,680 CUDA cores, 642 Tensor-TFLOPs, 93 RT-TFLOPs, and 40 Shader-TFLOPs. This GPU has a TDP of 285W.

VideoCardz reports that there’s no Founder Edition for the 4070 Ti and it will launch as a partner card only.

The local pricing for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti starts at RM 4,150 and it’s available starting 5 January 2023. Check with your favourite local retailers for availability.
