The Chinese manufacturer of consumer electronics has announced the launch of eight new smart Artificial Internet of Things (AIoT) products for the Malaysian market. So if you want to transform your normal home into a smart one, you should continue reading.
Let’s start with the highlight of the lineup, the Xiaomi Smart TV A2 Series. This TV is available in three sizes, 58, 43 and 32-inch. The 58-inch has a 4K display, capable of outputting 1.07 billion colours and supports 90% coverage of DCI-P3. There is also support for HDR 10, Dolby Vision, and 60Hz Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology for smoother visuals.
For sound, the 58-inch TV has stereo speakers that support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD for an immersive experience. You can control the TV using Google Assistant and there’s also Android TV.
For connectivity, the 58-inch TV supports WiFi 2.4/5GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, three HDMI ports (eARC support), two USB 2.0, an Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 43-inch has a Full HD display, while the 32-inch has a HD (1366 x 768) display, and these two TVs’ specifications vary slightly from the 58-inch.
Next up, is the Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 3.5L. It is compatible with the Xiaomi Home app, the fryer can easily be controlled remotely and set to anywhere between 40°C and 200°C for a perfectly cooked meal. The app also offers more than 100 different recipe ideas if you don’t know what to cook for your meal.
Xiaomi also has two new earbuds for the Malaysian market, the Redmi Buds 4 Pro and Redmi Buds 4. The Pro version is Redmi Buds Series’ first ever 10mm+6mm dual driver system and Hi-Res Audio certified. The earbuds also support LDAC.
Xiaomi said they have up to 30 hours (Buds 4) and 36 hours (Buds 4 Pro) of battery life
with the charging case. On a single earphone with a single charge, Redmi Buds 4 can last for 6 hours and listen to up to one hour of music playback with just five minutes of charging. Redmi Buds 4 Pro on the other hand lasts up to 9 hours on a single charge, where you can listen to up to two hours of music with a five-minute charge.
There’s a dual transparency mode and ANC for both earbuds through the use of Xiaomi Earbuds app. The earbuds are rated IP54 for dust and water resistance.
The Redmi Buds 4 comes with dual-mic noise cancellation, and Redmi Buds 4 Pro comes with three-microphone noise cancellation, paired with AI speech algorithms to accurately identify human voice and ambient noise.
You can get Redmi Buds 4 Pro in Moon White and Midnight Black. The Redmi Buds 4 is available in Light Blue and Gloss White.
The Xiaomi Smart Speaker (IR Control) has an LED clock display that supports adaptive brightness.
In addition, the built-in IR transmitter module combined with Google Assistant allow users to voice control home appliances when they are in the room.
Multiple smart speakers can be connected together for home-wide synchronous playing and the device also comes with Chromecast built-in, so you can wirelessly cast audio with just one click.
The Xiaomi Electric Toothbrush T700 is a professional electric Nylon soft toothbrush that comes with fully upgraded brush bristles, heads and handles.
The smart toothbrush features multiple power adjustments with high-frequency vibration, the bristles are equipped with DuPont Staclean Brush wire, LED smart display, personalized settings with the app and long battery life and flexible charging.
The Xiaomi Water Ionic Hair Dryer H500 has a water ion deep hydration technology that was designed to keep your hair smooth and hydrated while you are using it.
There’s a sensor in the hairdryer that will automatically switch between hot and cold air to avoid overheating your hair and scalp. You can also manually adjust the speed and temperature to your liking.
The Xiaomi Camera 2K (Magnetic Mount) features a compact design, ultra clear 2K image quality, infrared night vision, two-way voice calls and motion detection. The camera can output 2304×1296 resolution that captures images in greater detail.
The built-in 940-nm infrared lighting produces no visible red glow, so the users won’t be bothered by it when it is dark. The two-way real-time voice call feature comes with newly upgraded speakers. In addition, Xiaomi Camera 2K (Magnetic Mount) comes equipped with AI human detection technology, which can effectively filter out false alarms, so you will only be notified when there is human motion.
Last but not least, Xiaomi has a new LED light for your house, the Xiaomi Smart LED Ceiling Light.
The LED light can be easily controlled and connected using the Xiaomi Home app and Apple HomeKit. Featuring a built-in Bluetooth gateway, enjoy automatic light-on functionalities when doors are open. Xiaomi Smart LED Ceiling Light also features Daylight and Moonlight modes with up to 3,000 lumens brightness.
