As with other locations in Malaysia, the charging fee for the new Supercharger in Kuantan is RM1.25 per kWh. Additionally, there is an idle fee of up to RM4 per minute if the station is fully occupied. The area is open to the public 24 hours a day and parking is available at no cost.

According to Tesla’s website, the Superchargers are located throughout Malaysia in these locations:

Currently, Tesla boasts 11 Supercharging stations with 52 chargers and 11 Destination Charging stations housing 57 chargers in Malaysia. The company is expanding its network to enhance travel between Malaysia and Singapore, which also has 11 Supercharging stations and 11 Destination Charging stations.

What’s the difference between Supercharger V3 and V4?

The Tesla Supercharger V4 is an upgrade from the V3 with several improvements:

  • Same power output as V3, rated at 250kW, could potentially go up to 350kW.
  • Increased amperage: V3 had 425 Ampere, while V4 has 615 Ampere, a 31% increase.
  • Design changes: V4 is taller and thinner, taking up less room at charging stations.
  • Longer charging cable: V4 has a three-metre long cable vs. two-metre long of V3.

These enhancements make the V4 charge faster and more efficient than the V3, facilitating longer road trips with Tesla electric vehicles.
