The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is conducting surveys regarding internet quality and user satisfaction to collect data on consumer experiences and perceptions of telecommunication service delivery.

The Broadband Quality of Experience Survey 2024 (BQoES 2024) and Consumer Satisfaction Survey 2024 (CSS 2024) – Public Cellular Service and Broadband Access Service will run from 4 July to 30 November 2024 and will be conducted online, according to Bernama.

Malaysian consumers aged 15 and above are invited to participate by accessing the survey portal on any device via the provided QR code or link.

The data collected through this online platform will be SSL encrypted, stored locally in a password-protected database, and IP addresses will not be collected. SSL, or Secure Sockets Layer, is an encryption-based Internet security protocol.

To protect user privacy, MCMC asked respondents to clear their computer’s cache and browser history after completing the survey or use the Incognito or Guest/ Private mode.

MCMC emphasised that they will not collect personal data such as full names, credit/debit card, or bank details. Also, they will not ask money, and no sales will be conducted.

Participation is voluntary, but the regulatory body welcomes Malaysians to partake in the survey.
