The Energy Commission (ST) stated that the electricity tariff adjustment, implemented through the Imbalance Cost Pass-Through (ICPT) mechanism for the period of 1 January to 30 June 2024, will not impact 85% or seven million domestic consumers in Peninsular Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is due to the government’s decision to maintain a 2 sen\/kilowatt-hour (kWh) rebate for users with a monthly electricity consumption of 600kWh and below, according to Bernama<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For consumers exceeding 600kWh but not surpassing 1,500kWh per month, no surcharge will be applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
