On Tuesday, 16 October, Canadian High Commissioner to Malaysia Wayne Robson and BlackBerry Cybersecurity president and chief executive officer John Gianmatteo visited with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the visit, they revealed to Anwar, who also serves as the Finance Minister, that BlackBerry intends to support the country\u2019s economic growth through collaborations with Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BlackBerry is Canada\u2019s leading company providing software and cybersecurity solutions, and in the past, it was well-known for its phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, on 28 September 2016, BlackBerry announced it would cease designing<\/a> its own BlackBerry devices in favour of licensing with partners to design, manufacture, and market.
