{"id":19830,"date":"2023-08-09T18:30:40","date_gmt":"2023-08-09T10:30:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/techtrp.com\/?p=19830"},"modified":"2023-08-09T18:30:41","modified_gmt":"2023-08-09T10:30:41","slug":"tnb-sets-up-green-lane-pathway-for-data-centres-in-malaysia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/techtrp.com\/news\/2023\/08\/09\/tnb-sets-up-green-lane-pathway-for-data-centres-in-malaysia\/","title":{"rendered":"TNB Sets Up Green Lane Pathway For Data Centres In Malaysia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) recently established the Green Lane Pathway for Malaysia&#8217;s data centre market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pathway and strategic offering, according to the company, will provide efficient and environmentally responsible solutions for data centre operators, streamline the on boarding process for data centres, expedite approvals and facilitate a smooth setup of data\u00a0centre operations in Malaysia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It features fast-track supply offerings for electricity, where data\u00a0centres will be connected three times faster than the normal delivery time, reducing the\u00a0 implementation period from 36-48 months to just 12 months, alongside a One-Stop-Centre\u00a0(OSC) for data centre investors and dedicated support services.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This process is expected to attract more data centre companies to establish their operations\u00a0in Malaysia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TNB also said that they&#8217;re offering round-the-clock maintenance assistance and tailored solutions to meet the requirements of each data centre.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"data-centres-the-way-of-the-future\" class=\"cnvs-block-section-heading cnvs-block-section-heading-1691573552000 halignleft\" >\n\t<span class=\"cnvs-section-title\">\n\t\t<span>Data centres the way of the future<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>nvestment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz who was present at the event highlighted the importance of data centres as the nerve centre of the digital world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that they act as the backbone that supports the seamless functioning of\u00a0interconnected systems, facilitating the storage, processing and delivery of vast amounts of\u00a0information that support the modern way of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Malaysia has developed a strong reputation in the global data centre sector in Southeast\u00a0 Asia, thanks to our geo-strategic location as well as our conducive and attractive investment\u00a0 landscape. Our market share is expected to increase by USD2.08 billion from 2021 to 2026,\u00a0representing a CAGR (Compound annual growth rate) of 15.72%.
