But we also need to keep AI in check so it doesn&#8217;t backfire on us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do that, the Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil stated that the government is contemplating the necessity of a regulatory framework to address ethical concerns pertaining to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freemalaysiatoday.com\/category\/nation\/2023\/08\/01\/govt-mulling-regulatory-framework-for-ai-technology-says-minister\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FMT<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fahmi highlighted that establishing the framework would allow the government to better comprehend the challenges associated with adopting this new technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also expressed the importance of involving experts from government agencies and the industry in understanding the potential impact of AI on the employment sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With an increasing number of people using AI applications, Fahmi stressed the need for the government to explore the establishment of a regulatory framework for the responsible use of this technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fahmi emphasised that AI is a subject requiring better understanding among the public.
