Malaysians were dazzled by the A+++++++ effort made by one local lecturer with his highly interactive and intuitive online classroom.
Twitter user roselxilx shared snippets of an open and distance learning (ODL) session she had with her Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) engineering lecturer, Dr Mohamad Ezral Baharudin, who taught and entertained his classroom using a DIY (do-it-yourself) lightboard he made using his own money.
Images showed the educator seemingly drawing up complex math and equations out of thin air, with a class of over 60 students tuning in.

roselxilx mentioned that attending students were more than ecstatic by the level of dedication shown by “Sir Ezral” to make his online class session feel like an actual on-campus lecture.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, UniMAP had instructed students to remain at home and attend remote online classes from October 2020 onwards.
Social media users were arguably impressed and a little jelly over the amazing online learning setup the lecturer had for his class.

Light the way
Well with a bit of cash and some elbow grease, you too can create your own DIY lightboards to use as a unique teaching tool or make those video-conference calls a bit more colorful.
A lightboard is basically a clear glass “whiteboard” with lights attached to it that make colourful neon markers “pop” when you write on it.
A simple lightboard can be constructed out of plexiglass, LED lights and some wood or plastic to construct a frame to hold the entire board together.
