OnePlus today revealed OnePlus Nord 3 5G and the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r. The former is a midrange phone packed with flagship specs, while the latter is an affordable true wireless stereo (TWS), designed to deliver good audio experience without breaking the bank.
OnePlus Nord 3 5G
The OnePlus Nord 3 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1. Sadly, there’s no expandable memory here.
The phone has a 10-bit 6.74-inch (2772 x 1240 pixels, 450 ppi) Super Fluid AMOLED display that supports 40 – 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ content. The display also support up to 1,000 Touch Response Rate and go up to 1,450 nits of brightness.
On the back of the phone, there’s triple-camera setup. A 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with 1/1.56″ size and 1.0µm pixel pitch is paired with an OIS lens with f/1.9 aperture. The two other cameras are a 8MP ultrawide with f/2.3 aperture and a 120-degree FoV, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera.
To keep all these fed is a big 5,000mAh battery that support 80W SuperVOOC fast-charging. OnePlus claims it can recharge battery from 1-100% in half an hour. To make sure the phone runs cool is a flagship-level cooling system, measuring 4,129.88mm2, featuring high-performance graphite technology and a large vapour chamber.
Out of the box, the phone comes with OxygenOS 13, which is based on Android 13. OnePlus commits to providing updates for the device for three years, ensuring that it receives three significant Android updates and four years of security updates.
The phone is IP54-certified, providing protection against splashes and dust. Additionally, OnePlus’ recognisable alert slider can be found on the side of the device. Furthermore, the Nord 3 has a dual stereo speakers that feature Dirac drivers and are Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos certified.
OnePlus Nord Buds 2r
The Nord Buds 2r, offer a similar design to the Nord Buds 2 but lack active noise cancellation (ANC) functionality.
These buds come equipped with 12.4mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.3 technology, and dual microphones featuring AI call noise cancellation. They support both AAC and SBC codecs and are designed to be splash-resistant with an IP55 rating.
OnePlus claims that the buds provide up to 8 hours of playback time, and when combined with the charging case, offer a total battery life of 38 hours.
