Acer Predator Introduces All-New High-Performance Gaming Laptops And Space Capsule-Inspired Desktop

All the laptops and the desktop are equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs and Intel 13th Gen processors.

Acer announced major updates to its gaming laptops and desktop lineup, with new designs and support for industry-leading technology: 13th Gen Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs.

Predator Triton 17 X

This is Acer’s most powerful gaming laptop to date, equipped with up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. The laptop can be configured with up to 64GB DDR5 5600MHz memory and up to 4TB PCIe SSDs in RAID 0.

The Predator Triton 17 X includes a 17-inch (16:10) display. Two panel configurations are made available, including a WQXGA mini-LED (AmLED) display that clocks a blazing 250Hz refresh rate, has a peak brightness of over 1,000 nits to meet DisplayHDR requirements and a 1,000,000:1 high contrast ratio. It also offers a DCI-P3 100% wide colour gamut for vibrant, rich colours and is Eyesafe Certified as a low blue light display, reducing 80% of harmful blue light. The laptop also supports Nvidia Advanced Optimus and Nvidia G-SYNC.

The Predator Triton X 17 comes packed with other premium features including a per-key RGB keyboard, fingerprint reader, and glass touchpad. It also possesses a powerful DTS:X Ultra surround sound six-speaker system. WiFi is provided by Intel Killer E3100G+ Ethernet and Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1690i.

For connectivity, there are two USB 3.2 Gen2, two Thunderbolt 4 (which can also be used to charge the laptop up to 100W), one HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroSD card reader.

Predator Helios Neo 16

The Predator Helios Neo 16 offer models with the high-performance 13th Gen Intel Core HX processors paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with a Maximum Graphics Power (MGP) of 140W. It also supports up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800MHz RAM and up to 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD in RAID 0.

The laptop offers several different panel options including a WQXGA (2560×1600) IPS display at 165Hz and 3ms response time and a WUXGA (1920×1200) display with a 165Hz
refresh rate covering 100% of the sRGB colour range. Both display options include NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC.

Predator Triton 14

At just 18.9-19.9mm thin, this gaming laptop is equipped with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H Processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 or 4050 Laptop GPU. It also supports up to 32GB of 6000MHz LPDDR5 RAM and an M.2 SSD slot for storage expansion.

It has a 14-inch (16:10 aspect ratio) WQXGA (2560 x 1600) Mini LED display variety that also includes a 250Hz refresh rate, is DisplayHDR 600 certified and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour range.

There’s an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i for WiFi, USB 3.2 Gen2, Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader.

Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition

This laptop now supports the powerful 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX Processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU. It also includes up to 32GB of faster DDR5-5600MHz memory.

The Predator Helios 3D 15 utilises the combination of the SpatialLabs eye-tracking solution, stereoscopic 3D display, and real-time scene rendering technologies to bring 3D scenes, objects, and characters to life in its 15.6-inch display.

Access to the latest version of the TrueGame application lets gamers experience glasses-free 3D gaming, with details and game scenes presented in their 3D forms. It also provides different 3D gaming modes with 3D+ and 3D Ultra settings for over 70 titles, with more being added on a continuous basis.

The wireless connectivity is provided by Intel Killer E2600 Ethernet Controller and Intel
Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i. It also comes with a full range of ports including two USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (one supporting offline charging), two Thunderbolt 4 that supports DisplayPort functionality and Power Delivery, and a microSD card reader.

Predator Orion X

The Predator Orion X is equipped with 13th Gen Intel i9-13900KS processor and a liquid-cooled Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090. It also comes with up to 32 GB DDR5-5600MHz RAM, two M.2 SSDs (up to 1 TB each) and an illuminated, hot swappable NVMe M.2 SSD drive bay for added capacity.

The gaming rig also offers fast and seamless connectivity with Intel Killer E3100G and Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and a generous amount of ports including two USB3.2 Gen1 (one Type-C and one Type-A), a mic and combo jack at the front, a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port, three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 and a RJ45 located at the rear.

The chassis of the Predator Orion X, which draws inspiration from space capsules, weighs 9kg and has been redesigned to include three distinct “zones” that offer increased customisation options and improved performance overall.

Zone 1 is intended to provide easy access to the CPU, PSU, and SSD, while Zone 2 is positioned to allow for quick access to the VGA and dual 2.5-inch SATA HDD slots. Zone 3 is located near Zone 1 and includes a 240mm CPU liquid cooler to help regulate the temperature of the system’s powerful components.

Additionally, the critical zones are safeguarded by metal side panels that can be detached using a small latch for straightforward upgrading. The top of the chassis is equipped with a rotatable arm that serves as a headphone stand.

Pricing and Availability

Acer has yet to provide local availability and pricing for any of these products.

The Predator Triton 17 X will be available in North America and China in May, and Europe in June for more than RM16,896 approximately.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 will be available in North America and Europe in May, and is already available in China for more than RM5,332 approx.

The Predator Triton 14 will be available in North America and Europe in May for more than RM6,666 approx.

The Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition will be available in North America and Europe in June for more than RM15,561 approx.

The Predator Orion X will be available in the North America, Europe, and China in September, with a starting price of more than RM13,333 approx.
