Today, Xiaomi announced the release of their latest flagships, the Xiaomi 13 Series, in Malaysia.
The Xiaomi 13 Series are packing Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and both also support 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Besides that, both phones have IP68 dust and water-resistant rating.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 2K 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate, supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. While the Xiaomi 13 has a smaller FHD+ 6.36-inch AMOLED, 120Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, but no LTPO, and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The regular Xiaomi 13 has a 50MP main camera, a 10MP 3.2x telephoto camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The 13 Pro version has a more capable camera setup with a 1-inch 50MP sensor main camera, a 50MP 3.2x telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide. Both of the phones are using a 32MP camera as selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 13 has a 4,500mAh battery that support 67W wired fast-charging, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless. The Pro version has a bigger 4,820mAh battery that support a much faster 120W wired fast-charging and the rest are the same as the regular version.
Out of the box, the phones are running MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13 and Xiaomi promised at least three years of major Android OS upgrades and four years of security patches for the Xiaomi 13 Series. Other than that, the phones support Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 7 and USB-C 2.0.

The Xiaomi 13 is available in either Black, White or Floral Green, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro is available in Ceramic White or Ceramic Black.
If you pre-order the Xiaomi 13 on their official store on Lazada and Shopee, you will get a RM699 e-voucher for it, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro will come with a RM799 e-voucher instead.
If you pre-order the Xiaomi 13 from a Xiaomi Store, you’ll be able to get a free Xiaomi TV P1 43-inch worth RM1,799. Similarly, if you pre-order the Xiaomi 13 Pro 256GB variant, you can get a free Xiaomi TV A2 58-inch worth RM2,799.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro 512GB variant is only available as ‘Limited Edition Package’, but you are getting a free Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro, Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro and a Xiaomi 33W 10,000mAh PowerBank Pocket Edition Pro worth a total of RM7,469.
