ASUS Malaysia has just announced its 2022 Zenbook laptop lineup today at the 2022 ASUS Zenbook Series Grand Launch.
The event saw the launch of the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition (UX5401Z), Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED (UX8402), Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602), and Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402).
Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition
Featuring space-themed design details and finish, the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition has a 3.5in OLED display on the lid.
This external display can display customised messages, themes, and animations.
The whole system is built to comply with the US Space Systems Command Standard SMC-S-016A testing protocols which are more stringent than standard Military Grade durability.
Performance of the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition is delivered by the 12th Generation Intel Core i7 H-series processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics with 16GB RAM, a PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD, and WiFi 6E.
The 14in display is a 16:10 OLED touchscreen panel capable of 2.8K resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and DisplayHDR True Black 500-certified.
Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED
It is the world’s first 14.5in 2.8K 120 Hz OLED touchscreen laptop and it has a 12.7in ScreenPad Plus that is also a secondary touchscreen that automatically tilts up when the laptop is opened.
The Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED is Intel Evo-certified. It is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12700H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU.
Cooling up to 85-watt combined TDPis achieved with ASUS IceCool Plus and the AAS Ultra mechanism that tilts the secondary screen.
Zenbook Pro 16X OLED
This flagship device in the 2022 ASUS Zenbook series weighs 2.4 kg and is 16.9 mm thick.
The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is an NVIDIA Studio validated laptop and is powered by (up to a) 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12700H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU.
Keeping everything chill (and avoiding throttling) is the new ASUS IceCool Pro cooling system which uses two IceBlades fans to cool the vapor chamber.
The hot air is then vented out through the new AAS Ultra mechanism that tilts the keyboard. The CPU and GPU can run at up to a 140 W combined TDP and makes less than 40 dB of sound in Standard mode.
Its battery life is rated at up to 10 hours.
The jewel on the crown is the 16:10 16in 4K OLED HDR display that is capable of 60 Hz refresh rate that is also a 550-nit Dolby Vision touchscreen.
It is PANTONE Validated for industry-standard colour rendering, has a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 gamut, and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500-certified.
The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED also has the new White-RGB ASUS Intelligent Lighting System and the ASUS Dial rotary controller.
Zenbook 14 OLED
Made to be powerful, elegant, and lightweight the 14in laptop has a 75 Wh battery that powers the 12th Generation Intel Core i7 P-series processor (UX3402) and meets the requirements of an Evo laptop.
The screen on the Zenbook 14 OLED is a 16:10, 2.8K OLED display with thin bezels and has a 90Hz refresh rate.
For sound, it has Harman Kardon-certified, Dolby Atmos audio.
It’s also built though and meets the U.S. military-grade MIL-STD-810H durability tests.
The Zenbook 14 OLED comes in two colours: Aqua Celadon and Ponder Blue.
To complete the package it also has a 180° lay-flat ErgoLift hinge, ASUS NumberPad 2.0, a webcam with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology, and the new full-size ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and ASUS ErgoSense touchpad.
