In the first “unmasked” press conference held in South Korea since the pandemic, the cast and director of upcoming iQiyi Korean drama Shooting Stars held a press conference in South Korea recently to promote their show.

Shooting Stars features Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae, Yoon Jong-Hoon, Lee Jung-Shin, Kim Yoon-Hye and Sojin, and directed by Lee Soo-Hyun.

New episodes of the show will be uploaded to iQiyi’s global site (iq.com) and mobile app at the same time as South Korea.

Set in the Korean entertainment industry, the series tells the story of Oh Han-Byeol (Lee Sung Kyung), a PR lead at a management company that manages actor Gong Tae-Sung (Kim Young Dae).

While Gong has a positive public image, he is actually bad-tempered and does not get along with Oh.

Predictably despite the toxic relationship, the two get romantically involved.

This is Kim Young Dae’s first time in a lead role for a television series. This also marks the second time Kim Young Dae and Yoon Jong-Hoon have starred in the same show together since the popular Penthouse.

Also in the show is Girl’s Day star Sojin, who plays an entertainment journalist and CN Blue bassist Lee Jung-Shin who plays the role of a lawyer who represents the management company.

Director Lee Soo-Hyun previously directed The Witch’s Diner, Awaken, and Find Me In Your Memory
