Sony Malaysia is now accepting preorders for the Sony WM1ZM2 Walkman Signature Series and WM1AM2 Walkman Digital Media Player.
The price tags on these devices may look ridiculous, but they are worth every cent to an audiophile.
Each device is meticulously designed, engineered, and built. Every component of the Sony Walman is given thought right down to the type of soldier used all to get the best sound.
The two Walkmans were announced back in February.
Although the two devices are identical, the signature series features a gold plated copper chassis and 256GB of storage.
The other has an aluminium alloy frame and 128Gb of storage.
Both models use S-Master HX digital amp tech and AI-based DSEE Ultimate upscaling to make compressed music sound better. They can also play 96kHz FLAC files and have a battery life of 40 hours.
Both sport a 5-inch screen, run Android 11 and are WiFi compatible in addition to having a USB-C port.
The WM1ZM2 can be yours for RM14,999 while the WM1AM2 is available for RM5,499.
Pre-order and you can get a 512GB MicroSD Card to expand the storage of the Walkman, an RM50 Starbucks card, a thank you card from the engineer that designed the Walkman, and a 25% discount on selected purchases with purchase items.
