Microsoft today announced that in Malaysia, pre-orders for the new Surface Laptop Studio will start from 15 Feb in Malaysia. At the same time the Surface Pro 8 is also now available for purchase through consumer retail channels.

The Surface Laptop Studio is a convertible laptop that transitions between modes using its Dynamic Woven Hinge.
- In Laptop mode, it has a full keyboard and Precision Haptic touchpad.
- In Stage mode, its 14.4in PixelSense touchscreen display is pulled forward. With the keyboard covered, users can interact with the device using the Surface Slim Pen 2, touchscreen, or touchpad.
- In Studio mode, the device turns into a tablet for writing, sketching, and other creative pursuits.
The Surface Slim Pen 2 stores underneath the keyboard, where it magnetically attaches and charges.
In addition, the vibrant 120Hz display, Quad Omnisonic speakers, and Dolby Atmos gives users an enhanced media consumption experience.
For gamers there’s also the DirectX 12 Ultimate and NVIDIA GeForce 3050 Ti laptop GPU.
With 11th Gen Intel Core H35 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, the Surface Laptop Studio promises to handle almost any job.

Meanwhile, Microsoft also announced that the Surface Pro 8 is now available for purchase in Malaysia through commercial authorised resellers and authorised retailers.
Combining the power of a laptop with the flexibility of a tablet, the Surface Pro 8 is equipped with the iconic Kickstand and detachable Keyboard with built-in Slim Pen storage and charging.
Priced from RM4,950, the device features a 5MP front-facing camera, a 10MP 4K rear-facing camera, Dolby Atmos sound, and dual far-field Studio Mics.
It also has a 13in PixelSense touchscreen that is virtually edge to edge, Dolby Vision and Adaptive Colour Technology, making this one of the most technically advanced displays by Microsoft to date.
The Surface 8 Pro also supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, haptic feedback, and the Surface Slim Pen 2that has a slim carpenter-pencil-inspired design for control and a sharper pen tip for accudary.
The device uses an 11th Gen Intel Core processor built on the Intel Evo platform, is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and has a battery life of up to 16 hours.
Availability
The Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Pro 8 will be generally available from 8 March and 15 February respectively via commercial authorised reseller, Maxis; and authorised retailers such as All IT, Gloo by SNS Network, Harvey Norman, Lazada-Microsoft Authorised store, PC Image, Senheng, Shopee-Microsoft Authorised store and TMT by Thundermatch.

Microsoft is also collaborating with Gloo by SNS Network and Harvey Norman to offer a new Microsoft Concierge service in Low Yat Plaza and Pavilion Bukit Jalil 2 where shoppers can seek advice on the right Microsoft Surface and Windows devices to buy, receive assistance in setting up their new devices or upgrading them to Windows 11.
Users will also be guided on how they can get the most out of their Windows and Microsoft Surface devices.
