Samsung, at CES 2022, unveiled gaming monitors, and 4K and 8K TVs that will support HDR10+ GAMING standard along with a list of 4K and 8K game titles powered by NVIDIA GPUs.
Its executive vice president and head of R&D team, visual display business, Seokwoo Yong said the standard will be a feature of their 2022 Neo QLED line up starting with the Q70 TV series and gaming monitors.
The new standard makes for better gaming experience
The new standard developed by HDR10+ Technologies, LLC, lets game developers provide a more consistent HDR gaming experience across various displays and from different input sources.
The HDR10+ GAMING standard automates HDR calibration to optimise video game content in real-time. That means it promises a perfect picture every time without the need to mess around with the configuration.
Among the games that will support this new standard are Redout 2, Pinball FX, and “Happy Trails and the Kidnapped Princess” which will be available in 2022.
