LG revealed their first ever gaming laptop, dubbed the LG UltraGear 17G90Q.
Under the hood, the UltraGear 17G90Q has an Intel’s 11th Gen Tiger Lake H Processor, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 Max-Q GPU, up to 32GB of dual channel DDR4 memory and dual M.2 storage. All powered by a 93Wh battery.
It’s display is a 17-in full HD (1920×1080) LCD IPS panel with a 300Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time capable of 99% sRGB colour gamut.
For cooling the 17G90Q uses a vapour chamber and for sound built-in 2 way speakers with DTS:X Ultra support for directional audio.

The UltraGear 17G90Q IO includes;
- 2x USB 4 Gen 3 Type C.
- USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C.
- USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A.
- HDMI port.
- Ethernet port.
- 3.5mm headphone jack.
The UltraGear shares the streamlined and lighweight design of the LG’s Gram laptops. It features an aluminium body, measures 21.4mm thick and weighs less than 2.7kg.
Each laptop also comes preinstalled with LG UltraGear Studio which let users track the laptop’s performance data and tweak them. It is also used to control the keyboard’s RGB lighting.
For wi-fi the 17G90Q supports Wi-Fi 6E and Intel Killer Wireless.
LG has yet to disclose the availability and price in Malaysia, but they will be making it available in the USA and South Korea in Q1 of 2022.
The company is set to reveal more about the laptop at LG CES 2022 Showcase happening on 5 Jan at 12:00AM, Malaysian time.
