EZVIZ on Tuesday (7 Dec) launched its award-winning outdoor security camera, the C8PF, into the Malaysian market.

The company touts the device as the world’s first smart home camera with an 8-time mixed zoom function and had previously won the Good Design Awards for 2020.

The camera has a 12 mm telephoto lens and a 2.8 mm wide-angle lens which lets you see both a close-up and a wide-angle in a picture-in-picture mode.

At night its cameras are said to be effective up to 30 metres away. Because it is weather-resistant, it can even be installed outside.

Using AI, the C8PF can detect human shapes accurately and notify you of the presence of people – instead of pets and other animals – in its field of view through the EZVIZ app.

The app also lets you use the built-in microphone and speaker on the camera to communicate. Useful for when there’s a delivery waiting at the gate.

To store all that footage, the C8PF has 512GB of storage, one of the largest on-camera storage capacities in the home security market.

EZVIZ also offers a subscription service for an additional layer of protection by saving camera data on EZVIZ’s CloudPlay.

The C8PF security camera is available from RM449.00 in stores or online via EZVIZ’s official Shopee and Lazada e-stores.
