After showcasing the latest AirPods and MacBook Pros — on Wednesday at 1 AM MYT on a public holiday — Apple sneakily put up a listing for an Apple Polishing cloth on their online store.

With a straight face, Apple listed all the devices that are compatible with the polishing cloth.
This, of course, includes almost all Apple devices.
The list goes as far back as the iPhone SE (1st generation), iPad mini (1st generation), iMac Pro (2017), Apple Watch 1st generation, iPod shuffle (4th generation), and Pro Display XDR.
So, use the Apple Polishing Cloth on older and non-Apple devices at your own risk. Don’t say that Apple didn’t warn you.
What Is The Apple Polishing Cloth Made Of?
Here’s the official blurb from the Apple online store:
Made with soft, non-abrasive material, the Polishing Cloth cleans any Apple display, including nano-texture glass, safely and effectively.

The polishing cloth was originally included with the RM19,999 / RM25,999 Pro Display XDR. You know, the one with the RM4,499 display stand.
We honestly didn’t think that they would bring this polishing cloth to Malaysia. But there it was, listed on Apple’s official Malaysian online store for RM99.
When I started writing this, the waiting time was 4-5 weeks. But when I check again, it’s up to 6-8 weeks.
Yes it’s expensive, yes it’s a long wait, and yes we don’t need it. But we want it and judging by the wait times it seems that we are not the only ones.
