Alienware is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the launch of the redesigned Alienware Aurora.
Introduced in 2004 as the Aurora ALX, the flagship desktop pioneered the liquid-cooling movement. It has since become the mid-tower desktop of choice for esports.
The new Alienware Aurora debuts an open-air design that reorganises its inner components to promote accessibility, airflow, improved acoustics, and cleaner cable management.
To improve airflow, the latest Aurora also boasts a new thermal design. It supports up to four 120mm fans and liquid cooling options.
The huge fans take air through the front of the desktop and move it across the motherboard and components, before evacuating it out the rear end of the chassis.
Visually, the new Aurora is an attention grabber. Its makers say that it is designed to look good from every angle.
Expressive curves are used to make the new Aurora look unique from all corners. It comes in Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon.

For the first time, Alienware is offering an optional transparent left-side panel to showcase the dark new motherboard.
Eight unique zones of AlienFX customisable lighting are used to highlight the inside.
There’s also a new optional magnetic cable cover that can be used to stow cables and hide the ports at the back.
The right-side door can be removed and has cable management features to improve airflow.
These features combine to make the Alienware Aurora the most accessible desktop to date, with tool-less entry from every side.
