AGIBOT, a robotics company specialising in embodied intelligence, announced the start of a series of strategic initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region in 2026, beginning with a landmark launch in Malaysia.
The launch event was held at i-City, Selangor, and attended by AGIBOT’s senior leadership team, alongside Malaysian government officials, partners, customers and media representatives. The event underscored AGIBOT’s long-term commitment to building partnerships and advancing automation in Malaysia and across the wider region.
AGIBOT’s Industry Leadership In Humanoid Robotics
Founded in 2023, AGIBOT was established with the ambition of building robots for the AGI era. Rather than developing single-purpose machines, the company focuses on embodied intelligent robots designed to learn, adapt and evolve in real-world environments.
In 2025, AGIBOT reached several milestones that reinforced its leadership in humanoid robotics and embodied intelligence. These included the rollout of its 5,168th mass-produced humanoid robot, demonstrating industrial-scale manufacturing capability and commercial readiness.
AGIBOT also advanced embodied AI through real-world reinforcement learning, enabling robots to be trained and deployed directly within physical production environments.
As a result, AGIBOT was ranked number one globally by Omdia. According to Omdia’s General-Purpose Embodied Intelligent Robot 2026 report, AGIBOT ranked first worldwide in humanoid robot shipments and market share in 2025, shipping over 5,100 units and capturing 39% of the global market.

First AI And Robotics Experience Centre In Malaysia
The launch event on 13 January 2026 also marked the grand opening of the AI World Experience Centre at i-City, officiated by Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).
The centre was established in partnership with I-Berhad, the master developer of i-City. As part of the collaboration, AGIBOT’s robotics and embodied AI technologies have been deployed across property, hospitality, tourism and everyday urban environments within i-City, Malaysia’s digital city.
In parallel, the partnership places a strong emphasis on human wellness and longevity, applying AI and robotics beyond productivity and automation to support health optimisation and quality of life. The AI World Experience Centre represents the first phase of a broader, long-term collaboration between AGIBOT and I-Berhad.
