The Cyber Digital Services, Defence and Security Asia (CyberDSA) 2025 exhibition and conference successfully concluded today after three days of dynamic discussions, technology showcases, and global collaboration at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
With the theme “Pioneering the Future: Building a Resilient and Trusted Digital Nation”, CyberDSA 2025 brought together 160 participating companies from 19 countries, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions to over 8,000 visitors representing 46 nations. This year’s record participation reflects not only CyberDSA’s growth in scale, but also the expanding confidence in the event as the region’s trusted platform for cybersecurity, digital resilience, and innovation.
Standout Moments And Milestones
One of the standout highlights of CyberDSA 2025 was the Keynote Address and Fireside Chat with YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital Malaysia, who offered valuable perspectives on strengthening the nation’s digital trust.
The event also featured insightful conferences led by international industry leaders and witnessed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) exchanges, signalling exciting new collaborations ahead.
Adding to the momentum were a series of impactful satellite events, including the ASEAN Cyber Defence Network (ACDN) Meeting, the Military, Law Enforcement, Intelligence & Security Agency (MEISAC) Conference, the UBUNTU Asia Conference (UBUCON), the Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Symposium, and the prestigious Malaysian Cyber Security Awards & Gala Dinner.
The programme was further enriched by the ISCB Cybersecurity Professional Certification Handover Ceremony, the ASEAN Closed-Door Discussion on Post-Quantum Migration Technology, the Seminar Membina Pertahanan Siber Yang Mapan, the Forum on ASEAN–China Digital Trust and Security Capacity Building Cooperation, and the Certificate Giving Ceremony of Certified DPO — all of which collectively added depth and diversity to the event.
During the Closing Ceremony, a Prize Giving Ceremony was held for the Capture the Flag competition. This challenge brought together Malaysia’s brightest young cyber talents, who battled through both online and on-site challenges to prove their skills.
In addition, the winners of the Piala E-Sport Gen ATM were also celebrated, showcasing the creativity, teamwork, and digital resilience of Malaysia’s next generation. Together, these recognitions marked a proud moment that highlighted the nation’s growing pool of cyber defenders.
Collaboration At The Heart Of Cyber Resilience
In his closing remarks, YB Adly Bin Zahari, Deputy Minister of Defence Malaysia, underscored the collective responsibility of building cyber resilience:
“Cybersecurity cannot succeed in isolation. The government can build capacity; however, cyber resilience requires the active participation of every stakeholder, extending from government agencies, industry leaders, academia and civil society. We have witnessed this spirit of collaboration here at CyberDSA, which has once again proven that together, we can create a more secure and trusted digital environment for all.”
A Milestone For Regional And Global Engagement
The event featured high-level plenary sessions, technical conferences, and live technology demonstrations, attracting policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, researchers, and security practitioners from across the globe.
Delegations from government and private sectors explored forward-looking strategies in critical areas such as national cyber defence, AI security, critical infrastructure protection, digital forensics, cloud security, and cross-border collaboration.
