Malaysian esports teams etched their names in history by lifting the Predator Shield in the inaugural edition and again in the sixth edition of the Asia Pacific Predator League earlier this year. Now, Acer Malaysia is calling on the nation’s top esports contenders to rise once more and defend that glory as the Asia Pacific Predator League 2026 kicks off with the local qualifiers. With a total RM80,000 prize pool up for grabs in Dota 2 and VALORANT, November will witness Malaysia’s fiercest squads clashing for the crown of national champions.

The champions will carry Malaysia’s pride onto the grand stage in India next January, where they will face off against elite teams from 14 regions for a share of the RM1.84 million (USD400,000) prize pool and the coveted Predator Shield — the ultimate symbol of esports honour. The Malaysian finals, happening on 15 and 16 November 2025 at Sunway Pyramid, promise fans an electrifying weekend filled with action, pride, and community spirit.

“Gaming is more than entertainment — it’s a movement that connects communities and cultures, while fuelling creativity and friendly competition,” said Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific. “Last year, we introduced our electrifying theme song It Lies Within, alongside the launch of a new animated series featuring our fearless Predator heroes, Yuffy and Nero.”

Hou added: “We’re excited to follow the journey of the esports teams that earn their spot through the qualifying rounds, this time showcasing their skills on the major stage in India. The Asia Pacific Predator League has been a cornerstone of Acer’s commitment to the gaming community, and each edition continues to raise the bar in both competition and camaraderie.”

This event also marks a pivotal moment in India’s rise as a global esports hub. Since its debut in 2018, the Predator League has expanded from eight to more than fifteen countries, serving as a launchpad for emerging talents across the region and awarding over RM9.9 million (USD2.15 million) in prize money to date.

Registration is now open until 29 September 2025, Esport team who wish to participate may register for Dota 2 here and for VALORANT here.
