SEOUL, Korea – 6 January 2025 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today unveiled its 2025 Smart Monitor, Odyssey Gaming Monitor, and ViewFinity Monitor line-ups, all of which will be on display at Samsung’s First Look at CES on 5 January.
The 2025 models raise the bar for monitors by introducing AI features, Samsung’s first OLED sizes, and innovative form factors that cater to users worldwide—whether they’re working, gaming, or creating.

Smart Monitor M9: Entertainment and Efficiency Get an AI Upgrade
The Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model) introduces Samsung’s first AI features to enhance entertainment and interactivity through smart picture adaptation and search functions.
As Samsung’s first monitor to integrate on-device AI, the M9 features AI Picture Optimiser, which analyses input signals to determine the type of content being viewed—such as gaming, video, or productivity applications—and automatically adjusts the display settings for an outstanding visual experience. For gamers, the AI takes it further by recognising the genre of the game and fine-tuning the picture settings to deliver an optimal and immersive experience for every playstyle.
The M9 also incorporates 4K AI Upscaling Pro, which uses advanced AI processing and neural networks to upgrade lower-resolution content to 4K quality. By analysing input signals and existing image data, this feature delivers crystal-clear visuals with enhanced detail, regardless of the original resolution.
These smart and personalised features enhance the M9’s hardware performance. It boasts a 32” 4K OLED screen with VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 for incredible detail and vivid colours. Its thin design, along with the Easy Setup Stand, allows users to create their ideal workspace effortlessly. A built-in 4K camera makes it convenient to use in any environment.
Samsung Odyssey Series: Pioneering 4K OLED and 500Hz Refresh Rates
The Odyssey gaming monitor series powers up industry-leading performance with the 2025 Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 models.
The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF model) is Samsung’s first 27” 4K (3,840 x 2,160) OLED gaming monitor. It features a pixel density of 165 PPI (pixels per inch) and a refresh rate of 240Hz. The high pixel density and smooth performance give game creators and players exceptional detail and picture quality for building and exploring realistic gaming worlds.
Meanwhile, the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF model) redefines speed as Samsung’s first OLED screen with a 500Hz refresh rate on its QHD (2,560 x 1,440) screen. The lightning-fast refresh rate and ultra-smooth gameplay provide gamers with the performance edge they demand.
Both models offer a response time of 0.03ms (GTG) for smooth visuals and crisp gameplay, even in fast-paced gaming environments. They support AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro and are NVIDIA G-Sync™ Compatible, ensuring smooth visuals with minimal screen tearing and flickering. VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 ensures rich, deep blacks without bloom or colour bleed, while OLED Glare-Free screens reduce distracting reflections and glare.
Samsung is also showcasing the 27” Odyssey 3D (G90XF model) gaming monitor at CES. Using a lenticular lens and front stereo camera, the Odyssey 3D delivers a customisable 3D experience without the need for glasses. Additionally, AI-powered 2D-to-3D conversion adds new depth to video content.
ViewFinity S8: A Larger Canvas for Productivity and Creativity
The 37” ViewFinity S8 (S80UD model) is Samsung’s largest 16:9 4K monitor to date. Its screen is approximately 34% larger than the previous model, designed to maximise productivity and efficiency. With its sRGB 99% colour gamut faithfully presenting colours on the 4K (3,840 x 2,160) screen, the ViewFinity S8 delivers the colour representation and brightness necessary for professional users to do their best work.
The 2025 ViewFinity S8 has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for ‘Ergonomic Workspace Display,’ recognising its ergonomic design that enhances work immersion, task efficiency, and productivity. TÜV-certified Intelligent Eye Care reduces fatigue in users’ eyes—even during prolonged use—by adjusting the colour temperature based on the environment’s lighting. Eye saver mode and a flicker-free feature also protect eyes from strain.
With a simple Easy Setup Stand, the S8 also keeps productivity high through a built-in KVM switch, turning the monitor into a single command station for multitasking across several devices with only one mouse and keyboard.
