Samsung Opens One UI 4 Beta Program for Galaxy S21 Series

The One UI 4 Beta is currently limited to Galaxy S21 devices in certain countries only.

Samsung is opening a beta test for it’s new One UI 4 that is based on Android 12 operating system today.

The beta test is available for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series of devices;

  1. Galaxy S21 5G.
  2. Galaxy S21+ 5G.
  3. Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

Samsung says that the new user interface (UI) introduces new and improved customization and privacy capabilities that give users more control over the experience they have with the Galaxy S21 series.

One UI 4 Beta Launch

According to Samsung, the One UI 4 Beta Program allows users to try out the new features from today onwards, before its official release.

Samsung Galaxy S21 users in China, India, Germany, Poland, South Korea, UK, and US markets can register through the Samsung Members App on their devices. The release date will vary in each market.

Samsung will then use the information gathered from the user feedback to fine-tune the One UI 4 user experience before delivering an optimised final version later this year.

Samsung says that their new UI brings a unified mobile experience to Galaxy smartphones. users will be able to experience more customisability with the device and an upgraded privacy control.

Users can design their personal and ideal mobile experience suited to their needs.

The Look You Want

With One UI 4 Samsung lets you adjust the overall look and feel of your phone. Users can configure their home screen, icons, notifications, wallpapers and much more.

According to Samsung you also get easy access to a more robust and diverse array of emojis all in one place.

Empowering Privacy Options, Total Protection

One UI 4 brings with it enhanced privacy and protection feature, added Samsung. It makes it easier for the end user to see where their data has been used and how.

For example, indicator alerts will tell you when an app is using your camera or microphone. so you have the option to disable them.

Samsung says the One UI 4 expands the permission options from Android 12 OS, allowing users to view their permission history from the last 7 days as opposed to the last 24 hours for Android 12 OS.
