TNG Digital is discontinuing Quick Payment and Auto Reload for debit cards on TNG eWallet from 13 May 2026. The update comes after the feature was placed under maintenance during a review of transaction performance and reliability.
Following that review, the company decided not to continue supporting these functions for debit cards.
What Changes For Users
Debit cards will no longer work for automatic reload or Quick Payment. If you’re using this setup now, it will stop after the effective date.
You can still use a debit card to add funds manually. Automatic reload remains available through credit cards.
Other Ways To Top Up
Users can continue reloading their eWallet using:
- DuitNow Transfer
- Manual debit card reload
- Credit card
- Reload PIN
These options are still accessible within the app.
Credit Card Fees
Reloading with a Malaysian-issued credit card comes with a 1% convenience fee. Cards issued outside Malaysia may incur fees of up to 2.6%.
Reloads using Malaysian-issued debit or prepaid cards, DuitNow Transfer, and Reload PIN (non-transferable balance) do not carry additional charges.
For Toll Users
For PayDirect and RFID users, the SOS feature still allows passage through toll plazas when the balance is insufficient. Any outstanding amount must be settled within 24 hours.
If your account relies on debit card auto reload, it’s worth reviewing your settings before 13 May. After that, top-ups will no longer happen automatically through debit cards.
