Apple has rolled out its next generation of devices powered by the new M5 chip, strengthening its position in high-performance computing and creative workflows. The refreshed line-up includes the MacBook Pro (14-inch), iPad Pro, and the second-generation Vision Pro headset — all targeting creative professionals who rely on high-performance computing and AI-driven workflows.
Performance Upgrades Without Price Hikes
Apple said the M5 chip delivers significantly improved speed and efficiency, particularly for artificial intelligence-driven applications, while maintaining the same prices as the previous M4-powered models.
Apple Malaysia now lists the MacBook Pro with M5 starts at RM6,999 for the 14-inch base model, as listed on Apple’s official online store.

The iPad Pro with M5 begins at RM4,499 for the 11-inch Wi-Fi model and RM5,799 for the 13-inch Wi-Fi version, with cellular variants priced at RM5,399 and RM6,699 respectively.
Both iPad Pro models will be available for pre-order soon in Malaysia, while the Vision Pro (2nd Gen) has yet to appear on the local Apple Store.
Device Highlights
- MacBook Pro (M5) — The laptop retains its sleek design but delivers significant performance improvements in multitasking, graphics rendering, and AI-based workloads. The new chip architecture boosts system responsiveness without altering the device’s physical design, display, or port configuration.
- iPad Pro (M5) — Apple’s new flagship tablet is lighter and thinner than before, featuring a Ultra Retina XDR display with 1,000 nits of full-screen brightness and up to 1,600 nits for HDR content. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and includes Apple’s new N1 wireless chip, which adds Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support, alongside a C1X modem offering 50% faster cellular data performance. The device runs on iPadOS 26 with a redesigned Liquid Glass interface, supports Apple Pencil, and starts with 256GB of storage. The tablet inherits the M5’s faster performance for creative and productivity tasks, catering to users who rely on Apple Pencil or high-resolution editing.
- Vision Pro (2nd Gen) — The updated mixed-reality headset now runs on the M5 chip, featuring a lighter frame and improved comfort. It retains the same starting price equivalent to USD3,499 (about RM16,500), according to The Verge.
Apple has begun rolling out the new M5-powered MacBook Pro and iPad Pro in major markets, with availability starting 22 October 2025 in select countries.
For Malaysia, Apple has not yet announced an official release date, though both the MacBook Pro (M5) and iPad Pro (M5) are already listed on the Apple Malaysia website, signalling that pre-orders are expected soon.
The company typically staggers releases regionally, with Malaysia often following several weeks after the initial U.S. launch.
