Spotify has quietly pushed up its subscription fees across the board in Malaysia — again.

Here’s the damage:

  • Premium Individual: Now RM17.50/month, up from RM15.90
  • Premium Duo: Now RM24.50, up from RM21.50
  • Premium Family: Now RM27.90, up from RM24.90
  • Premium Student: Now RM9.50, up from RM8.50

New users are hit with these revised rates immediately, while existing subscribers will feel the pinch during their next billing cycle. Spotify says users can expect a heads-up via email sometime this month.

The last time Malaysians saw a Spotify price hike was back in August 2023, with increases ranging from RM1 to RM1.70. This time, the jump is a little steeper, and frankly, more noticeable.
