If you’ve got bills to pay or transfers to make this weekend, you might want to handle them before the clock strikes midnight. Maybank is back with another round of scheduled maintenance, and this time, it’s an eight-hour affair.

On Saturday, 19 July, several digital banking services will be temporarily out of action as part of Maybank’s routine system updates. The disruption was originally slated for 12 July but got bumped a week forward.

Here’s what’s taking a breather:

  • From 3am to 8am:
Expect zero action on Maybank2u, the MAE app, and Maybank2u Biz (web and app). That means no DuitNow transfers, requests, or QR payments. JomPay, Interbank GIRO, FPX, and debit mandate services will also be unavailable.
  • From 12am to 8am:
All Maybank ATMs will be offline—so no withdrawals, deposits, or checking balances during that window.

While the bank promises it’s all for platform security and smoother transactions, the eight-hour downtime might throw a spanner in your weekend plans. So, if your payday rituals include late-night transfers or paying off that one bill you’ve been dodging all week—plan ahead.

Need help during the blackout? Maybank’s customer care is still on duty at 1-300-88-6688.
