Last month, we reported that Google Pixel smartphones are coming to Malaysia officially via a major gadget retailer.
At that time, there was no confirmation from Google Malaysia. However, today the tech giant has finally confirmed the news by posting on X (formerly Twitter) that they will be launching the Google Pixel 9 series here.
The phones are also listed in the SIRIM database. Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL will be available in Malaysia.
Furthermore, CelcomDigi has launched a “registration-of-interest” page for the phones that you can register here.
According to rumours, the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, and the XL has a 6.8-inch display.
All the phones are powered by Google Tensor G4 chip, and has up to 16GB of RAM. The Pixel 9 has a 50MP wide camera and a 48MP ultrawide camera.
The Pixel 9 Pro and XL variant has a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide, and a 48MP telephoto sensor.
For selfie, the Pixel 9 has a 10MP front camera, while the Pixel 9 Pro and XL models have a 42MP unit.
For the pricing, we just have to wait and see. Google is going to reveal more information about the phones on 14 August 2024.
