A self-proclaimed hacktivist group known as NullBulge has recently made headlines by claiming to have infiltrated Disney’s internal systems.
The group, which purports to “protect artists’ rights and ensure fair compensation for their work,” alleges that it has breached Disney’s Slack infrastructure and leaked a staggering 1.1TiB (1.2TB) of data. Slack is a messaging app for business.
These claims were first posted on the notorious cybercrime and hacker platform, Breach Forums, on 12 July 2024, according to Hackread.

According to NullBulge, the leaked data includes a comprehensive copy of Disney’s Slack communications. This encompasses messages, files, and other exchanges within the company’s development team workspace.
The group asserts that nearly 10,000 channels are part of the dump, providing a glimpse into the inner workings of Disney’s development processes.
The leaked data reportedly contains a wealth of information. Among the contents are unreleased projects, raw images, code snippets, login credentials, and links to internal API/web pages.
NullBulge didn’t stop at Breach Forums. The group also used X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce the alleged hack.
In a tweet, they boldly declared, “Disney has had their entire dev Slack dumped. 1.1 TiB of files and chat messages. Anything we could get our hands on, we downloaded and packaged up. Want to see what goes on behind the doors? Go grab it.”
Despite their audacious claims, the origins of NullBulge remain shrouded in mystery. The group’s official website reiterates their mission to safeguard artists’ rights and advocate for fair compensation.
However, the report stated that there were rumours that NullBulge may have ties to the LockBit ransomware gang.
Indonesia’s National Data Centre was recently hacked by someone using the Lockbit ransomware.
